whoa! are we going to get arrested for wearing black today?

PUTRAJAYA: To be able to celebrate National Day for the 52nd year is something all Malaysians should be proud of and it should not to be turned into a “black” day, said Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor.

The people should look at the nation’s achievements and successes positively and not be influenced by certain groups that have called on the public to show displeasure against the Government today, said the Barisan Nasional secretary-general.

“There were those who feel slighted or neglected because they did not get some things that they have wanted,” he said.

“But, that should not be a reason to participate in activities that will tarnish the image of the country, especially its National Day celebrations,” Tengku Adnan told reporters after handing out flags to a crowd at the Precinct 8 market, here, Sunday.

He was commenting on an SMS circulating in the country, urging people to show their displeasure towards the Government by wearing black on Monday.

Tengku Adnan said he was alerted of the message by some friends and had informed Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin of it on Saturday.

He said he expected the matter to be discussed with Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein to see what action should be taken against the irresponsible parties.

‘action to be taken against the irresponsible parties’. for merely exercising their rights to start this ‘wear black’ campaign and calling on people to wear black? is that seditious or what? will the call jeorpardise national security? is it worst than bringing a dead cow’s head to stomp on?

so those who do wear black today… will they be arrested? just like how the police arrested those who wore black during the perak state assembly seating where the most shameful thing happened (the speaker was forecefully dragged out)??

talking about the ‘cow-head’ incident (which incidentally, it WAS by umno people), everybody been saying the seditious act was so obvious, yet the police did not arrest the protestors, the police need someone to lodge a police report before taking action – but compare to the wear black during the perak state assembly and the anti isa rally on 1 aug – how come they were so quick to arrest people?

because of the ‘cow head’ incident, it makes me more not to celebrate merdeka and now because of what this idiot tengku adnan said, it also made me more determined than ever that i should wear black today. this is the only way we can show/voice our protest, that we are not happy and most certainly not proud of umno’s 52 years of rule!! if we organise a rally, we’ll be arrested… so what we can do is only to wear black… and by that too, they are considering taking action on us?

gee… see, no democracy, no freedom, trampling on our human rights… and you want us to celebrate merdeka? look at how the police handle the ‘cow-head’ protest… and you want us to celebrate merdeka? no way!!

IT’S CERTAINLY A VERY VERY 1BLACK MERDEKA!!
