sorry folks, no news about bolehland as islamland

i can’t believe this!! why, i never heard of such a silly move. oh but then again, remember this is bodohland and bolehland, anything can happen.

najib’s remark on malaysia being an islamic state refers.

the internal security minister had directed all mainstream media not to publish any news on the issue of malaysia being an islamic state.

gosh! why not? first of all, you see, this is confirming again that the mainstream media are under the control of the government. how sad.

yeah, why stop the mainstream media from publishing about malaysia being an islamic state? because it was the DPM who had made that remark? just like asking the mainstream media not to publish about what burmaa (altantuya’s cousin) said about the ‘french dinner’ photo? because it involved the DPM?

“Yes we have given the directive to all mainstream newspapers. Islam is a sensitive issue. They cannot publish any news on whether the country is secular or Islam.

there they go again – the sing-song "islam is a sensitive issue". then other religions not sensitive issue? then if it is a sensitive issue, why the DPM brought it up in the first place?

“Stop harping on this. The debate would never end,” he asserted when contacted today.

look who’s talking! it was the DPM who started it, dear sir, the DPM. if someone bring up something, it is only natural for us to talk or debate about it.

However, he said newspapers can still publish statements from Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his deputy Najib Abdul Razak on the country being an Islamic state.

ahh i see. the VVIP are exempted from the ruling. i thought the VVIP PM once said "nobody is above the law"??

how silly can this che din yusof get to be. what everybody except the PM and DPM think about malaysia being an islamic state cannot be published. it was the DPM who started it all and now che din was saying what the DPM said can be published… so is he going to say again and again bolehland is islamland? so this means he can  happily voice his personal views for all the rakyat to hear, esp. the rakyat who do not have access to the internet, while nobody can debate his views?

again che din continue:

Che Din pointed out that while the two top leaders of the country can make such statements, any reactions from political parties and the public will not be allowed to be published.

“Reaction from political parties and the public cannot be published especially the negative reactions,” he said.

whoa! who is to judge which are negative? ‘political parties’? i hope he meant UMNO too. i won’t be surprise if suddenly tomorrow we hear kerismuddin or the famous son-in-law coming in with their views in the mainstream media! then he will say oh their views are very positive, so can allowed.

btw it is strange to note that this directive came from the internal security ministry BUT without the knowledge of the internal security minister or the deputy internal security minister. that was what i gather when malaysiakini reported the deputy internal security minister, fu ah kiow could not be reached for comments. well, with a name like fu ah kiow (and not ahmad bin ali) i can just imagine what his comments/reactions might be. why ask the deputy anyway? why not go straight to the head? well the head has a name like ahmad bin ali so i guess he might have agree with this che din guy, who incidentally, if you notice is from the publications control and al-quran texts unit. interesting eh. the 2nd part i mean –  ‘al-quran texts unit’.

ok lah, so mainstream media not allowed to publish what others say about bolehland being islamland. thank god we have the internet.. and bloggers. uh oh… i hope next they won’t say bloggers not allowed to publish the debate on bolehland islamland… because if you do, you might end up like nathaniel tan.
