christmas recital of sacred choral & organ music

this christmas recital of sacred choral and organ music is one of our church’s christmas activities, to be held at the church of the assumption.

the church of the assumption (catholic church) at farquhar street (between the museum an SXI school) is one of the world heritage icon, located among the ‘street of harmony’.  from my post here, you can see a picture of the church, plus write-up of georgetown being declared world heritage site. oh yeah, when the CM, lim guan eng visited the church, i had blog about it too at this post, and when it appeared in the herald, our catholic weekly.

if you read the write-up in the herald, you’ll notice that i mentioned about the piped organ in the church – the only one in penang, and one of the oldest in the country (94 years). well, if you want to hear beautiful music coming out from the piped organ, do come and attend the recital which will be held on sunday, 14 dec. at 8.30pm. beside organ music, of course there will also be soloist and choral singing – all of christmas songs. oh yeah, one very important thing – admission is FREE! open to everyone. oops. should i add ‘not for muslim’… IF i’m in UMNO government i guess i should but i’m not so i welcome everyone, even muslim. there’s no harm in entering a church, sitting down to enjoy beautiful music.
