tell me something, i don’t know, judge

… yeah please don’t tell me something i already knew, already aware of long long time ago.

"religious freedom not for muslims"
said retired judge, datuk faiza tamby chik when delivering a working paper entitled, “malay and islam in malaysian constitution” at the two-day International seminar on comparative laws (ISCOM 2008).

datuk faiza tamby chik said, as far as enacted law was concerned, it was clear that it was not easy for one to abandon the practices of the faith.

Citing the case of Lina Joy’s renunciation of Islam, Faiza said the High Court in its decision ruled that a Malay under Article 160(2) of the Federal Constitution remained in the Islamic faith until his or her dying days.

aw! come on! is there anything i have not heard of before?

a retired judge said all these in an international seminar and we had people bashing me for saying that islam is a one way traffic or there is no gostan in islam or once a muslim, always a muslim. oh perhaps it is because i’m not an ex judge. wait till they came across others who were even more harsh than me.
