celebrating georgetown as UNESCO world heritage site

yes! 7 july is the 2nd anniversary of georgetown, penang, attaining the UNESCO world heritage site status. this time, 7 july will be a holiday for us in penang! it is not a mandatory holiday though. well, come 7 july, there’ll be a whole day celebration. please visit the georgetown festival website for more details (or click on the image on left).

if you are an ‘out-station’ visitors who happen to be in penang this wednesday, don’t forget to join in the festival. if you have tourists friends from other countries visiting, don’t forget to invite them to join in the festival. lots of exciting activities to see/do.
