activist wong chin huat arrested

cops flexing muscles! indeed! good of the malaysian insider to come out with such a heading.

apparently wong chin huat (picture left, taken from malaysiakini) had been arrested for sedition because of what he said during the BERSIH press conference calling on all to wear black tomorrow and coming up with the slogan ‘1black malaysia’. i had the opportunity to ‘work’ with chin huat before online when we were planning for the media freedom walk in may last year. met him during the walk and also at the police station in PJ when 22 ISA vigiliers were arrested. he’s a nice man who is very dedicated to his activism work.
