thank you for denying BN the 2/3 majority

yes you did it! you voted for change! you denied BN the 2/3!

so for this year’s election, my shout of ‘deny BN 2/3!’ is not in vain, unlike in the 2004 election year. yes i remember at the 2004 election, i had been pasting the ‘deny BN 2/3’ banner everywhere in my blog/posts but was very disappointed when BN had a great win instead. this year, the result of the election was a shocker to many people. not only were BN denied the 2/3 but 5 states had fallen into the opposition hands!

actually to me, i didn’t expect DAP to capture penang at all. i wanted the opposition to win big all right, but DAP making a clean sweep of all the seats contested (except 2) and PKR winning seats where they are not expected to win… all these came as a shocker… a good shocker! most of my friends too were shocked to hear penang had fallen to the opposition, as they too only expect them to win big and not win all! well, win all they did and now we, penangites have a new government.

let’s hope the new government will deliver results. let’s hope what they promise during their ceramah will materialise. let’s hope they will not be too proud of their win. let’s hope they (DAP and PKR) will work together peacefully and there’ll be no fighting among them. yes, we voted for change – we are happy they are now in control. let’s see how they will perform.
