lending a hand to those who started the problem

oic! so at last malaysia is doing something about the haze where indonesia is concerned. sent a letter of protest? chastisied the indonesian government? UMNO organising a demo at the indon embassy?

no no, nothing like that at all. instead malaysia will go to indonesia and help them in cloud seeding. earlier a team of fire-fighters had already left for indonesia to help them put out the fires.

great. stop the fires from spreading. put out the fires. then no more haze. problem solved.

come next year, i suppose malaysia can be so nice and helpful again to send their fire-fighters to indonesia and/or to do cloud seeding for indonesia.

great. let the problem surface, do something about the problem. problem solved. wait again for probelm to surface, and do something again.

what happened to seeking out the root cause of the problem and solving it once and for all?
