silly girly poems
ireneq’s post on nostalgia seems to invoke the nostalgia in me too. she was talking about those good old schooldays and brought up the subject of autograph books in her first paragraph.
ahh… autograph books in school… sure invoke my memories of during those form 5 years when we were about to leave school.
it’s a pity i had lost my autograph book but i still remember the short silly (not silly then! but sound silly now!) poems my schoolmates had written. those autograph books during my schooldays, comes in various colourful pages and are usually around the size 18cm x 13cm. some of the more popular poems went like this:
i have a pen my pen is blue. i have a friend my friend is you. |
remember m remember e. join them together and remember ME. |
drink hot coffee drink hot tea. burn your lips and remember me. |
and then beside those poems, we like to put in countries names, which were actually acronymns professing our friendship/love/wishes. for example:
MALAYA – may angels look after you always.
FRANCE – friendship remain and never can end.
ITALY – i trust and love you.
FLOWER (er… not a country’s name) – friendship like ours will ever remain.
i wonder do the students nowadays still exchange autographs? and no i don’t mean via email or any form of online stuffs.
note: more reminscing on schooldays days later.
