eradicating poverty
“poverty eradication will be our first and foremost agenda in kelantan so that by the time the next general election is around, poverty will no longer be there,” so said our PM, pak lah.
wahh!! that easy huh??
i believe it is impossible to totally and completely eradicate poverty.
pak lah had pledged to visit kelantan more frequently and even called kelantan his second home next to putrajaya. in trying to eradicate poverty, he also wants to upgrade facilities in kelantan because according to him kelantan has been left out because of obstacles created by the state administration. hmm… blaming PAS eh, i see. i wonder is it true kelantan is that backward and has many poor people. it looks like the writer of this article had been exaggerating. look at this paragraph:
as the federal government strove to make malaysia a developed country aided by a people with vast potential, kelantan remained in poverty and backwardness with no new infrastructure as though the country had just obtained independence.
no new infrastructure? just gain independence? really kah? i remember once when lone went ‘missing’, he was in kelantan, and he came back with good views of kelantan. maybe, a friend, mylias, who stays in kelantan can shed some light on this matter too (poverty and backwardness).
