she blog, he blog a we blog, i blog, you blog, a they blog. Oo — oo — she blog!
sing this to the tune of cyndi lauper’s ‘she bop’, which by the way i just learn from joe-blog that it means giving good vibrations to oneself. wow. the things you learn from bloggers.
.
cyndi who tells us that girls like to have fun… and perhaps one of the fun she meant was ‘she bop’??
3 days ago i email all my friends who have email (but of course) to announce to them the ‘birth’ of my blog, and you know what, quite a number of them replied with “what is a blog?”. i guess it is not surprising that not many people know what a blog is. the easiest immediate answer i could think of is “it is like a homepage!” because everybody knows what a homepage is. but of course there is a vast difference between a homepage and a blog. would it be right to say that a blog can be a homepage but a homepage can’t be a blog?
anyway to let them know what a blog is, i have to borrow here and there from experienced bloggers when they wrote on what is a blog. here i’m going to give some interesting and informative links where one can read up to find out more on what is a blog and why do she blog, he blog, they blog, we blog and i blog. hopefully after reading them, my friends who asked me “what is a blog” will then asked “how do i start a blog?”.
first of all as i mentioned in my ‘the why and how part I’ post dated 27 sept. there’s a lot of information on blogging at jikon’s ‘reading blogs’ post. but when you go there, you still have to click on certain links here and there that will bring you to others informative info. one of them stand out, which was a post from lonewacko
what the heck is a blog
the others are:
dinesh’s daily me and daily us
aizuddin’s proper blogging.
and of course
jikon’s reading blogs.
also do read up on joe’s
joe blog on community journalism.
