the political turmoil in perak

this is the latest hot news that is mandatory for bloggers to blog on so i’m not going to miss out the fun.

hmm… so najib had managed to stage a coup d’etat to take over the perak government (as i read somewhere online news). yes in news portal like malaysiakini and malaysian insider, ti was mentioned that the perak government had collapsed and on tv too i heard najib proclaiming they had take over the government.

really? so fast he made the claim? didn’t he know that this is illegal – as perak DAP chief said:

“It is usurping power as a change of government can only be shown within the state assembly,” he told The Malaysian Insider.

The Perak DAP chief said that a vote of no-confidence in the sitting government would then trigger a takeover but until then Pakatan Rakyat (PR) will continue to govern the state.

“I assure the people of Perak that they need not panic as PR is still in government until the assembly is dissolved, even as a minority government,” he said.

yalah. najib is a seasoned politician and he didn’t know that? why the rush want to take over the government? even if it’s true that they command the majority and entittled to take over, they still have to go through the legal process before claiming they are now the government.

and if you want to go more into the technical detail of why PR should still consider as the government, go to my fellow penangite, romerz’s blog to read.

anyway, also, the sultan has not made a decision yet. what if the sultan agree to dissolve the state assembly, paving the way for a snap election? najib and his BE-END (BN lah) wont’ be the government, neither paktan rakyat.

i am hoping that the sultan will do the right thing – dissolve the state assembly. let the rakyat of perak choose their government!

now i also have to say something about the 4 frogs who caused all these.

first the leap in, leap out frog – the bota rep, nasarudin hashim. people of bota, i pity you that you have such a rep. no principle at all. no interest for the people at all but only his own interest. first he leaped out of BN into PKR, then from PKR back to BN. although of course there is speculation on why he leaped back to BN when his wife said he saw him being bundled in a car by two men who took him to see najib, but that is another matter.

then that two PKR goons ( jamaluddin mohd radzi (PKR-behrang), osman jailu (PKR-cangkat jering)) who were charged with corruption and also some kind of sex charge, i believe. they went missing for 2 weeks, came back with resignation letters but then said no they didn’t resign. they just want to be independent. huh? they were running scared! they dare not immediate cross over to BN and if they resign, they might be so to speak, out of the job, so they quickly claim they will leave PKR to be independent.

then DAP jelapang rep, the lady deputy assembly speaker and MP for jelapang, hee yit foong finally call it quits.  DAP secretary-general lim guan eng’ had made a  general statement that all assemblymen must always be in contact with the leadership  and if they are missing for more than 24 hrs without contact, it is an indication of the person’s desire not to  remain as an elected party rep. well, hee see his statement as an indirect threat to remove her as state rep. so i guess that’s why she defected. hmm… but some people had been saying it is more than that. it has to do with the perak DAP internal leadership esp. with the ngeh-nga cousin brothers, but again that is another matter.
(btw the picture you see here was taken from malaysiakini showing hee right in front. now don’t you think she look sad? or troubled?)

ok so these four frogs now turned independent. now i ask you, is that fair? fair to the rakyat i mean? they were elected by the rakyat on their party ticket and now they turned independent. if they were independent for a start during the nation general election, they would not even get one vote! of course same things goes for frogs who leap from one party to another party too. dr hsu says it very well on this matter.

methink many people will sure feel disgust at these 4 frogs. how can they leave the party to be independent? where will they get the money to serve the people as independent? why don’t the people of bota, cangkat jering, behrang and jelapang in perak protest? i like it very much how the malaysian insider put it as the 4 frogs who fooled all.  interesting read there.

of course there were speculation that these frogs had been brought over by najis…er najib but he denied it. ok, if not brought over by money, then perhaps, threat against them or their family? ahh… ok ok another speculation but it is highly possible. i heard and read already so much heresay here and there of how ministers or people had been ‘threatened’.
malaysia politics is very dirty, if you must know.

yes very dirty. one day i will made a post something to do with what one commenter in the malaysian insider put it as ‘the government (ie federal) is the ringleader gangster’.
