IPCMC soon?

suppose to blog about this earlier but as you know i can’t access my blog.

it’s about the independant police conducts and misconduct commission or better known by its acronymn IPCMC.

you probably know about this already but hey my blog is not sun2surf or the star where i bring you the latest news. my blog is for me to air my own personal view (and hopefully readers would join in via comments) on certain topics… though the topics might be out-dated. since i had already blog on this topic (IPCMC) a few times like here, i just can’t missed out blogging on the latest news regarding it.

i’m sure you still remember that somewhere end of may 2006, the police had posted up on their website reasons why they objected to the IPCMC, but that was quickly taken down when they said it was a ‘mistake’to put it up. i blog about it here.

yes, about the IPCMC, the police suddenly had an about turn of the heart – they now agree to the setting up of IPCMC. yes, no more objection from them. why the sudden change of heart i wonder?

well… i wouldn’t be too happy if i were you. could this be a sandiwara? now we have the police saying ok go ahead with the IPCMC, then who knows later the gomen may come up to say not necessary to have the IPCMC and the police will say, see, it’s not that we don’t want the IPCMC. or it could mean that the police and the gomen had a back door hush hush talk and they came to a compromise on something. dunno lah… maybe something like ok, set up IPCMC but according to the whims and fancies of the police, or set up the IPCMC but tone down its power. dunno lah… call me cynical if you like, but until the IPCMC is really set up (and with all the recommendations ) then only i will rejoice.

NOTE OT: suppose to post this up wee early this morning (before the start of the world cup) but there was heavy rain and thunderstorm and suddenly the computer’s power went off. then morning when i try to get connected, notice the message ‘there is no dial tone’. i checked the phone, the phone got dial tone but try logging in, no dial tone, so i guess the modem must had been ‘fried’ by the thunderstorm. argh! i have myself to blame as i should have switch off the computer when the thunderstorm came. alamak! this means now i will not have access to the internet at all. arghh! earlier i was complaining about not being able to access my blog (but 2 days ago suddenly can access)… now i cannot get on the internet at all – worst. i have to buy a new internal modem i guess… but then i don’t know how to install it. oh dear. i hope i can ask my office PC technician to come and install for me. it would be very frustrating without being able to get on the net!
