interesting revelation from dr m

if you think that the meeting is going to stop dr m’s big mouth, you’ll be very naive indeed. somebody said, and i agree, that the private meeting between our present PM and our ex PM was simply something they would say out in public but this time they said in private between two of them. after all, dr m did reveal what happened during the meeting, right? well, as everybody predicted, true enough, after the meeting, the squabbles between both of them would not likely to end.

to me, dr m’s non stop yakking mouth has some pros and cons. one of the good thing that comes out of it is that he revealed some startling discoveries or facts.

well, we usually heard of the ministers coming in to have their say, mostly of course in support of badawi, but yesterday a sultan – the sultan of johor – came in to voiced his support for badawi and at the same time told dr m to act like a pensioner!

“If one has already been pensioned, just behave like a pensioner, what is the use of making more noise?

haha. ain’t that right… but he forgot dr me is no pensioner like your grandpa. dr m is the ex PM, ex PM for 22 years. how can he keep his mouth shut eh, when, according to him, something’s wrong with the country/government.

after his meeting, he held a press conference, while badawi, not surprisingly keep his elegant silence. at the press conference interview, he made lots of interesting revelation. the one i found most interesting was about the famous son-in-law. i had blog extensively on him (the son-in-law @ khairy) so naturally was interested in anything related to him.

But about Khairy’s appointment, I was disappointed, because there was supposed to be someone who wanted to contest the position but was called by Hishammuddin and ordered to not contest. I know that the practice of appointment without contest is something which happens in Umno but it happens when someone has long served Umno and proven his worth. But this is someone who had just joined Umno and who had not shown any (bakti) to Umno but won without contest and there were messages through the telephone that everyone had to vote. And I know that even though people voted, they were not satisfied and they booed him. But the following year, there was no more boo. Probably some things had happened until there was no more booing Khairy.

(emphasis my own.)

ahh… interesting. so it was the UMNO youth chief, hishamuddin who pulled some strings to make sure khairy was appointed as his deputy. no wonder he supports khairy so much. remember the famous ‘chinese take advantage of UMNO’ remark the racist UMNO boy made? his chief supported him and also said he didn’t have to apologise.

i am puzzled at the ‘something’ that happened to make the UMNO members stop boing him later, as dr m pointed out. maybe some shove here and there from the PM?
other points i found interesting are:

* he insinuated that badawi is corrupt because he (badawi) is a member of the oil for food business.

* he said that chinese business people are angry with the government and might not vote the government come next election.

* he accused malaysia of being a police state.

ha! as to the last point, it’s like the pot calling the kettle black. wasn’t it during the 22 years of his tenure as PM, he had turned malaysia into a police state too? he should have read martin jalleh’s open letter to him!

i’m sure no where in the world we hear of a ex PM criticising the current PM, especially on telling the PM how to run the country. it can only happen in bolehland.
