being member of oomph

remember on monday (6th) i blog on food website and mentioned i just found out about penang based food and entertainment website, oomph malaysia? i had signed up as a member when i went in several days ago, and yesterday i was pleasantly surprised when i received a letter from them.

this (picture) was what was inside the letter (btw, the letter comes in a pretty cool letterhead) – two bookmarks, 2 oomph cards (pic shows the front and back) and a food voucher for RM10 off! (the voucher was not shown in the picture). the letter welcome me to their community and they prided themselves that in only two months, they had over 2,000,000 hits and is confident that soon they will become the no. 1 niche portal in malaysian history.

well, i hope so too but from what i see quite a number of sites like this sometimes dies off a natural death after a few years. i like this website mainly because it features on penang’s food and entertainment, and since i’m staying in penang, it would be good reference for me, esp. the food part as i love eating! (who doesn’t eh?). entertainment… not so much lah, as old already and bones getting heavier, cannot get entertained anymore. hehehe.

last time, my good friend (from school) and i were always on the lookout for new food places and we would zoom in to the places to try the food. unfortunately, this good friend of mine is now very busy and we seldom goes. anyway, now i have found another friend from church, who is food crazy like me, and willing to go with me. oomph website would be a good place for me to check out promotions on food or just the menu. those who are in penang, esp. the young ones, do sign up as a member.
