malaysiakini reported about 10000 people gathered at the danish embassy in KL to protest, while CNN mentioned 3000. and i notice another place (forgot where) mentioned 8000. so which is which?

anyway, the more important thing to notice is what the protestors chanted. CNN said:
“long live islam. destroy denmark. destroy israel. destroy george bush. destroy america.” while malaysiakini used “death to decmark.”

no. 1 – why denmark, the whole country? why not direct it at the denmark paper (or if they want the govt.)? destroy everyone in denmark, the babies and children too?

no. 2 – death? destroy? granted this was not a violent protest. i remember somebody commented something like this “by all means, protest and demonstrate but do not use violence or threaten to kill people”. ok fine, the people here in malaysia did not use violence… but by chanting “death to denmark”, wasn’t it consider threatening… death threaten?

no. 3 – why bring in bush and america, esp. when america did not publish the cartoon? oh silly me forgot… they blame everything and anything on bush/US. they just hate bush/US so very much.

no. 4- why is it huh everytime there is a protest, most of the time they want to do it after prayers? i thought usually people said after prayers (go to mosque, temple, church), you are suppose to be holey-moley, goody-goody… as you had just prayed, mind you…. why then after prayer, there is suddenly the burst of “destroy!” and “death!” coming forth from the mouth that just prayed?

that’s it. it’s official. do not have the cartoon on your blog ok, or else you would end up being arrested (and possible shaven bald). pak lah, being the internal security minister issue the ban. it would be an offence for anyone to publish, import, produce, manufacture, circulate, distribute or possess the controversial caricatures.

oh wow. can they control people on the net downloading the caricatures and circulating them? if i save the caricatures in my computer hard-disk, it is consider an offence? don’t they believe in the saying ‘forbidden fruits taste better’. the more they ban the caricatures, the more people want to see them… and it is so easy to see them, thanks to google. in fact i have a few friends saying to me “i haven’t seen the caricatures. why they ban ah? hey, can show me or not. i want to see.” you see, before the ban, they couldn’t care less to see the caricatures. gee… should i oblige them? nah, what if i’m detained… i just permed my hair not long ago! so no way!
