a great woman

pak lah and endon in happier times – such a loving couple.

yesterday, at about the time of datin endon’s funeral, the sky open and the rain came pouring. it was as though heaven was weaping… weaping at the loss of a great well-loved woman.

most of all so loved by her husband, our prime minister. if you notice, at many of the pictures we saw pak lah and endon together, they would either be hugging or on each other arms. they were such a loving couple.

last night when ntv7 showed an hour special on endon, there was an interview conducted of VIPs and the public. someone rightly remarked that, if you observe, most of the other countries’ leaders like prime ministers and presidents, you hardly see them with their wives, while our pak lah, most of the time you see him with his endon. such is their love.

i hope pak lah will stay strong. his mother had passed away in early 2004 and now his darling wife. and don’t forget with all the headache of the duties of prime ministership on him too… he really need the strength. may allah be with him and guide him.

back to endon, she was indeed a special lady…. full of charm and sweetness… and of course a lady with a golden heart, with the many charity works she was involved in. you can read about her biography here.

a great woman is no more with us. the nation mourns. i am sad.
