blog fest asia 2010

yo bloggers! are you attending the blogfest asia 2010? this time it is held in my hometown – penang! penang was chosen mainly because of it being UNESCO world heritage icon. since the blogfest is open to bloggers from other countries, the organisers thought georgetown, penang is the best venue for the fest! many of the overseas participants will be coming in one day earlier and taken for tour round penang island.

anyway, if you haven’t heard of the blogfest yet, do visit its website to find out more. it will be held from 1st to 3rd october at the wawasan open university in jalan sultan ahmad shah.

i can see the programmes are quite interesting. for the breakout sessions, i will choose which to attend as i can’t be there the whole day, especially on saturday. on saturday i might be able to attend only one session, while on sunday i can be there only in the afternoon. however the best part would be the welcomingdinner – on board the QE II on the sea restaurant! i haven’t been there (and i don’t think i will ever) so this is a chance i shouldn’t miss i guess. dinner amidst lovely scenic surrounding at the harbour. this dinner will be hosted by the ministry of tourism.

well, today is the closing date for registration, so if you are interested, there’s still time. i encourage you bloggers to go as this is a chance to meet bloggers from other countries and to learn more at the workshop/open sessions.  i will get to meet preetam rai, the man responsible for putting up some of my blog posts at global voices online.
