the nile river runs deep… for our DPM
what else is new. *sigh*
ok for the uninitiated, by ‘the nile river’ i meant ‘denial’. ‘the nile’ = ‘denial’, see? the nile is a river in egypt (picture left). our ministers are forever denying this and that, thus the metaphor to use is ‘the nile river runs deep’. (actually me good old friend, wits0 was the one who first started using it).
lately we had seen so many racial issues erupting in our country. because of this, many people felt our country is not stable. yes i agree… about the racial issues. but our dear DPM denied this claim.(well ok lah. a litlte voice tells me “he is the DPM, of course he has to deny such thing.)
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has debunked the perception among people outside the country that Malaysia is not stable due to issues involving race.
Describing such a notion as baseless, he said unity and tolerance were very much entrenched in society and this could be seen from the presence of thousands of people from all walks of life at open houses held in conjunction with Aidilfitri.
huh? based on that he came to the conclusion that there is unity and tolerance among the races? oh gee, when were you born, mr DPM? don’t you know the main reason people likes to attend open house… esp. government one is because of FOOD!! free food, i might add.
“Those who perceive Malaysia to be facing stability issues are people who don’t understand the actual situation in the country,” he said when met at an open house hosted by him in Pagoh today.
ahem! i would rather say the opposite is the truth.
He added that foreign guests who attended the open house at Seri Perdana yesterday were all praise for the spirit of friendship shown by Malaysians irrespective of race or religion.
sure. they were all led to seri perdana through the smell of food. granted there were some who truly want to fellowship with other races but still the main attraction was food. what the foreign guests saw was only superficial.
Muhyiddin said the country’s cultural diversity was a unique feature as it had become a source of strength for Malaysia in line with the 1 Malaysia concept mooted by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
HA! go fly a kite!! 1malaysia is all crap! and now i’m going to sleep before i lose steam more.
