illegal gathering on may 7 in ipoh

perak_sa_bldgyes, there’ll be an illegal gathering on may 7 in ipoh… inside the perak state legislative assembly… the gathering where the fake menteri besar,   zambry is convening the perak state legislative assembly to oust speaker sivakumar and pass motions to legitimise his government. you don’t think for a moment i was talking about the gathering of the opposition parties (country’s, not state’s) or the rakyat, do you? this state assembly called by zambry is illegal in many ways (label ‘hocus pocus‘ by lim kit siang). for one thing, their government is not a legal government! it was a coup d’etat by none other than our present PM. then wasn’t it that only the speaker can call for an assembly? the menteri besar (whether fake or legal) can’t call for an assembly! the other reason is that zambry and six of his exco members had already been suspended by speaker sivakumar at the ‘under the tree’ sitting.

strangely, the police deemed gathering of the rakyat as illegal when they warned the people to stay away from the state assembly building on may 7.

The police today reminded the people not to gather near the Perak state secretariat building on Thursday when the Perak Legislative Assembly meets, to prevent any untoward incident.

Perak police chief Zulkefli Abdullah said police had received many reports that certain political leaders, during their ‘ceramah’ (talks), had been urging the people to assemble near the building and such calls were also made through certain blogs and websites.

"Such a mass gathering without a police permit is an illegal gathering, and action will be taken according to the law against those who plan, organise or take part in it," he was quoted as saying by Bernama.

if the people want to assemble near the building, it’s their own prerogative – why can’t they do it? yes, it may be ‘certain political leaders’ who urged them to do it but that doesn’t mean it is the ‘certain political leaders’ who organised or planned it. i may decided to go with 4 of my colleagues. my church friend may decided to go in a van which seats 10. my nephew may want to go with his young friends for an outing in a  chartered bus  to ipoh and to the state assembly building during that day/time. you may decide to go with your family of 6. some bloggers may decided to go with their own blogger friends. all these will add up to 100 or more people… and the police look to it as illegal gathering? where are our rights then? we go in a small group and we meet other small groups of people – all those who care for democracy – but the police said no no you can’t gather. why? apparently it was to avoid any untoward incidents. really? but in through experiences we noted that ‘untoward’ incidents only happened when there were lots of police and FRU around, especially when they were armed with water canon and tear gas. gatherings of the rakyat are more often than not, usually peaceful but the police who prefer not to spend their energy on catching criminals, like to focus on gatherings which they predicted will not be peaceful, hence justifying their presence!

To avoid traffic problems on that day, he advised road users not to use the roads near the building and those who have nothing to do with the assembly sitting not to gather near the building, while only those with the invitations would be allowed in.

the traffic problem/traffic jam will be caused by the police themselves in setting up un-necessary road blocks here and there!

if the police want to look at illegal gathering, they should start with the state assembly itself called by the fake MB, zambry but of course they won’t… because they are on zambry’s side, BN’s side! they already took zambry as the illegitimate MB. they already look to the BN government as the perak’s government. ahh who was telling me that the police are impartial?
