what a shame… eli quit

i was shocked to read that elizabeth wong had offer to resign from her cabinet post and state assembly seat. she had said it herself loud and clear that she did nothing wrong… rightly so, so she should not resign. i understand though her reason for doing it – a most unselfish reason – and i salute her for that. she said she had to resign for the interest of the party as she knew although this involved her personally but it was done to target her party, PKR, in view of the rumours of defections and BN going to take over the selangor government.

well, so far, her resignation had not been accepted yet. at malaysiakini, anwar had told her to take leave first and they’ll decide later, while i can’t understand why the selangor MB, khalid, wanted to seek the sultan’s advise. i thought people had been saying not to involve the rulers in politics? why can’t the leaders of pakatan rakyat themselves made the decision?

anyway if you surf around news portal and blogs, you’ll realise that most people (about 90%) are very supportive of eli and wish that she won’t resign. my citizen journalism course mate, jimmy leow had created a poll in support of eli. please do drop by to vote to show your support.

btw i have seen the so called nude pictures of eli that were said to be circulated around… and oh boy, i was shocked!.. no not shocked because they were very sexy or explicit but they were the opposite in fact! nothing ‘demoralising’ about the pictures. one show just her shoulder and head… and if you don’t say it, nobody will know she is naked. the other is very blur where the photographer was actually trying to shoot the inside of her skirt… and it shows nothing since it is blur. of course i’m not going to put up the pictures here nor even the links as it won’t be fair to eli.
