special! special on the front page of this week’s (21 sept) herald.

(you can get to see the online version, i think only on monday, after the site had been updated. at the time of publication – usually herald of the week dated sunday gets published on a wednesday – teresa kok was still in prison).

this is the front page that appears in this coming week’s herald, the catholic weekly.

"we love you, teresa, because you love god more."

yes, i believe that it was teresa’s faith in god that made her strong while holed up in a 6 feet by 8 feet cell under the ISA. apart from the love of her family, it was also the love of god that keep her going while she was under arrest. her spirit was not broken. remember the widely circulated SMS from fr. o.c. lim of SFX church in petaling jaya? it says "the unjust may break our bones but they may not break our spirit." yes as long as one is innocent, as long as one knows she did not do anything wrong, her spirit will be high, especially when she has her faith to fall on – word of god, prayers will keep her spirit alive.

the herald this week has devoted a special supplement of 4 pages about teresa kok. it carries several news from malayiakini, two from lim kit siang’s blog, one from the star, one from bernama, one from sin chew, one from the micah mandate and one page, write up from herald itself, all about the different mass/services/vigil that various NGO and churches held.

well, i’m sure next week’s (29 sept) herald’s front page will have something like "welcome back, teresa" or maybe even a special interview of teresa with herald.
