i am beautiful
ok as it is sunday, lighten up and forget about hindraf, protest walk, democracy and the fair big ears PM. this is going to be a what you call…. in bahasa, ‘perasaan’ post. how to translate ‘perasaan’ eh? self praise? vanity? some bloggers like to use – whoring? whoring myself. haha. that sound so crude and might attract some psychos who might attacked me with even more crude words. so i’ll take it back. well, i’ll just say it is a post all about myself – i, me and myself’
——————–
2 months ago, i had a man saying to me "you have beautiful eyes."
3 days ago i had another man saying to me "you have beautiful hair."
everyday i have a man singing to me "you are beautiful ."
no, i’m not kidding. it’s the truth. swear on the PM’s honour. oops… I mean scout’s honour. (PM tell him the truth, he no hear.)
ok i’m exaggerating on the 3rd part (but it is still true!). you see, i have on my mobile phone, the song ‘you are beautiful’ (by james blunt) as my ringtone. each time someone calls, james will sing to me, "you are beautiful." great ringtone eh? i figure why not have someone to tell me i am beautiful each time my phone rings, to boost my confidence. haha.
"you have beautiful eyes."
i’m surprise anyone can say that to me, especially a man. no, he is not my boyfriend; he is a casual friend , married with kids (and he made that remark the first time he set eyes on me, after the introduction.)
i had friends saying to me, "you have big eyes", you have long eye-lashes" and "i like your double eye-lid" but never direct "you have beautiful eyes." maybe it is because of the combination of all these that made him said i have beautiful eyes.
however, i don’t consider myself as having beautiful eyes at all. in fact i have bulgling eyes so i consider it as ugly. when i was a kid, a bus conductress (whom i ran into quite regular )like to call me "goldfish eyes" because of the bulgle.
let’s see…
big eyes …
yes i do have big eyes(picture you see here) but big eyes doesn’t necessarily mean beautiful. again i remember when i was a kid, a neighbor, an adult man, like to tease me, your eyes are so big… like a thief’s eyes." then each time when he saw me, he would cried out "thief’s eyes! thief’s eyes!" hmm… i wonder why he associated a thief with big eyes.
long eye-lashes…
welll… compare to most indians, whom i notice have long eye-lashes, not really. compare to most chinese, yes in a way but it is straight and flat. it would look long and lovely if i use mascara… but i only use it when attending a formal event.
double eye-lid…
well lots of people have double eye-lid. maybe mine is rather prominent, that’s why add to my ‘big eyes’ to make it beautiful… er… to make some people say it is beautiful i mean. i know quite a number of people without double eye-lid, envy those who have double eye-lid and some are even prepared to go for plastic surgery to get double eye-lid.
i have a mole right on the lower eye-lid of my right eye. some people for the first time, thought it was something on my eye-ball!
ok now about my ‘beautiful hair’.
why? my sister said my hair look smooth and shinny, and it is soft too. welll, i wouldn’t deny that because you see, i had spent over RM3000 to have my hair treated and to buy some hair care products.
(psst! from the side view here which i want to show my hair, you’ll notice my ‘bugling’ eyes, right?).
i’m sure many of you have heard of yun nam? yes i had my hair treated there… actually for dandruf and thinning hair. about RM2500 for 10 sessions (once a week). Then i was persuaded to buy their products which came to about RM800. (all of which you see in the picture here.)
ok i’ll explain about the products.
left to right:
hair renewal lotion, hair nourishing lotion, hair cleansing lotion, herbalogy ginseng shampoo, jasmine herbal conditioner.
in front small bottle is the hair nourishing essence.
oh, not in the picture is the hair coat serum – for use on hair ends after shampooing. supposedly to prevent the hair from dry ends. 7 products all together.
ok first of all of course i’ll use the herbalogy ginseng shampoo then the jasmine herbal conditioner
after applying shampooing, i’ll spray these two:
hair renewal lotion
hair cleansing lotion
then massage and latter on rinse off.
the following two are use after getting out of the shower.
hair nutrional lotion
hair nourishing essence
you notice then i’m using 6 products each time when i washed my hair – 4 during shower (during shampoo) and 2 after shampoo. the coat serum i don’t use regularly.
In the beginning i used the 4 during and after shampoo products regularly but after several weeks, i alternate use them since i find them expensive.
well i find these products good and it does help make my hair soft and shinny. however, though the treatment at the saloon did solved my dandruf fproblem, but not my thinning hair problem. well, the treatment was specifically for dandruff anyway.
yes i have very little (thinning) hair and it fall flat on my head like a ‘temperung’. think i should get a body perm for my hair every 3 months to give it more body huh?
ok i have talked about my eyes and my hair – what next? maybe my eyebrows! yep! how i have them tattooed once and embroidered once. or my facial treatment!
btw, we are all beautiful in our own ways (even without expensive products), so ok all of you can say confidently "i am beautiful".
