pak lah, heed the call of 40,000

UPDATED:  13/11/07 01:15 AM
i have added more links for you to go happy surfing reading about the rally.
in the meantime, please also check out how the ‘bodoh’ minister accused the bersih organisers as suffering from ‘short circuit’ and also using the word ‘pondan’ on the oppositions (go to mentaljog extra, if you are not a subsriber of malaysiakini); while the minister of misinformation hit out at al-jazeera.

look at the crowd! and lots more pictures of crowds from nat tan. 4000 people, the mainstream media said? podah! they should add one more ‘0’ to 4000. it was 40,000! though some had mentioned more than that – 50,000 or even 80,000. actually it would have been the targeted 100,000 if not for the interference from the police (warning and blocking of roads).

well many bloggers had already blog on this but i still have to blog on it briefly since i was doing lots of promo for the march.

i’m glad to see that the march is a success, despite some incident at masjid jamek. despite the warnings from the government and the police, yet so many turned up. this should sent a signal to our PM that something is seriously wrong and we are serious in wanting to call for a reform to the electoral process.

ok that’s all i have to say. tired as no. 1 i just came back from a 1 1/2 day seminar (stay-in weekend) and no. 2 my stupid cold haven’t heal yet! throat irritation is now bothering me. arggh!!

ok now i will post links of some good write-up from bloggers, esp. those who were present at the march. i’m not going to put up lots of pictures here or video as i don’t want my blog to be bogged by them, thus making the page slow to load. the links that i am going to give you though will have lots of pictures. first of all for some good pictures. you can go to jinggo photo page and drliew’s blog (whom i notice came out of hibernation after 2 months).. of course kickdefella also has pictures – big clear ones

lulu marches for a better malaysia part 1
what? lulu a security threat?
50,000 defy ban to demand electoral reform (anil netto)

of coutse there are lots of other bloggers who blog on this matter.  i will update the links later (or not at all depend on my mood. haha). oh i will also post links from foreign media. for our local media, the best place to go to is of course malaysiakini. lots of news and pictures and videos.

i salute all those who were present at the march and i thank god that nothing serious/violent happened. i hope the king will heed the call of it’s rakyat to do something. enough is enough, UMNO! we are fed up of your dirty tactics during election!
