ask your boss for a raise

… that is if you are not a civil servant.  we all know already  how lucky the civil servants are, to have a pay rise due to the coming election good mood of our PM. for those of you in the private sectors, no fear if you are looking for a pay rise. i’m going to show you how to. just write a letter like this:

Dear Bo$$,

ok ok i know this looks rather lame. the above is not my own creation but a joke that had been circulating for some time already. there are a few different versions of it. some of you might have come across it already but for some who don’t i just thought this would be a good change from all the lina joy talk. it’s a sunday so relax and have some laugh. oh yeah, of course the boss replied:

Dear NOrman,

I kNOw you have been working very hard. NOwadays, NOthing much has changed. You must have NOticed that our company is NOt doing NOticeably well as yet.

NOw the newspapers are saying the world’s leading ecoNOmists are NOt sure if Malaysia may go into aNOther recession.  After the  elections things may turn bad.

I have NOthing more to add NOw. You kNOw what I mean.

Yours truly,

Manager
