‘jaga rumah’ again

uh oh… last night it was back to ‘jaga rumah’ for me. will be here at the big bungalow until sunday.

as i mentioned before, here at the bungalow, i can only use an ancient laptop with dial-up, so it would be kind of problem for me to blog. last night try to log in but suddenly found that cannot log in when the message “the modem could not detect a dial tone” appeared.

that’s strange. about 10 days ago i was using it, and it was working fine. last night wanted to use it, it was not working. i try switching the modem cable with the phone cable and still it was not working. while the phone cable was working at both slots, the modem cable can’t work at both slots, so i figure it must be the fault of the modem cable.

btw, i’m talking about the PCMCIA card modem. something sure looks wrong with the cable when it is so difficult to pull it out from the slot. like all other cables, and with the phone cable, one just press on the plastic that protrude out when plugging and unplugging the cable, right. that plastic of the modem cable doesn’t seems to be working. it was easy to plug in but it was so difficult to unplug!

today i had wanted to go back to the computer shop where i bought the modem card to ask them to test but i did not bring the installation CD, they can’t test. i bought the modem only in july… still under guarentee. well this means, tonight i can’t go online again with the PC.

well i could use my new handphone… which surprisingly to me, it was so easy to go online… but i can only read. it would be very costly to write or surf a lot with my phone i think! use my PDA? same thing… as i would be using my phone as a modem… but of course PDA the screen is bigger. anyway, i still haven’t master how to get connected to my PDA via my handphone!

oh well, i hope tomorrow i can get the modem repaired. uh oh… if cannot repair, must i wait for a new one? dielah, like that. wait means no chance to get online again. haiz.  must stay back in office to get online/blog then.

last night wanted to blog about international human rights day (which was yesterday) but since cannot log on, cannot blog! :(  now i do have some other issues to blog too but i am using the church’s internet, don’t want to use it for long, so again no blogging. so fed up lah. well hope tomorrow i can blog.
