reporting of ‘false news’?
something is very wrong with our country indeed. very wrong.
“huh?” someone answered “as if i didn’t know that!”
so much had been happening these past few weeks that really make us wonder where our country is heading.
there was this squat gate incident, the moorthy’s case, the MAS controversy, and recently, the new year raid at paul’s place… and now guess what? action to be taken against the china press for alleged ‘false news’ regarding the squat gate incident when they claimed the lady in the video was a chinese national.
why the china press? other local press too did mentioned that the lady might be a chinese national. why only action on china press? why should there be any action in the first place?
i will continue tomorrow as now it’s over 2.00am. in the meantime, take a look at bob’s blog, with lots of info on this subject.
china press and the chinese identity

The Centre for Independent Journalism (CIJ) is organising a candlelight vigil tomorrow at 6.00 pm in front of the office of China Press to protest the prevalence of political interference in the newsroom, among other things. More details about this event can be read here.
Their office is located at :

Off Jalan Bangsar
