hip hip hurray!! cheers for our real malaysian idol, nicol david! she is now world champion, after she beat rachael grinham 10-8, 9-2, 9-6, and 9-6 in the finals held in hong kong yesterday.

her parents, especially her mother, must be escatic and livid with joy. i was told by her mother that, the government this time sponsored she and her husband to hong kong to watch nicol played. it’s good that they were there with her, and also of course good for nicol that her parents were there to share her biggest win!

well, mrs david, soon, your wonderful daughter will be world no. 1, i’m sure. the BBC report this win of hers will ensure her of the world no. 1 spot come next month.

now that she is world champion and bought fame and glory to our country, i hope something can be done for her. pak lah, it’s no use just to open your mouth to say you are proud of nicol’s achievement.
