gathering for bloggers and anyone interested

ok, a few of us penang bloggers had decided on the date and venue of the bloggers and friends gathering. first of all, we decided not to name the gathering as ‘bloggers gathering’ since the gathering is open to non bloggers as well, especially readers of blog who do not blog. it will be a gathering of ‘net friends’ (or ‘netizens – citizens of the internet!), since we (bloggers and non bloggers) are all internet users. however, since it is a gathering initiated by bloggers, with more bloggers attending, we’ll have the name ‘bloggers’ in.

here are the details:

gathering for bloggers and netizens
date: 27 november, sunday
time: 3.00pm official time (1.00pm for those who wants to come for lunch)
venue: ice ice baby restaurant
411-A burmah road (pulau tikus area)

something about the venue. no, it’s not a restaurant that deal in ice cream. it is a taiwanese style restaurant but it is a halal restaurant. the best part of it, is that it has wi-fi. so remember to come with your notebook or PDA – can blog live or surf the net. we might need to use it (net) as we plan to have 1 or 2 ‘speakers’ to talk on certain topics.

where is the location of the venue? later on a detailed description, with map hopefully (cmos?) will be posted. at the moment, a brief description of the location.

if coming from penang road side:
it is the near block of building after the burmah road/cantoment road traffic junction. you’ll see a building ‘bellevue group’ or maybank first before reaching ice ice baby, which is next door to baskin-robins (now this one, everybody knows sell ice-cream, but not ice ice baby ok). right in front of ice ice baby is a bus-stop.

if coming from bagan/tg. bungah side:
watch out for the post office… time to get to centre to turn right. ice ice baby is opposite am bank/southern bank.
