hurray to nicole david for being the first malaysian to win the malaysian open women’s squash title since the inception of the tournament in 1975. she beats world no. 1 champion, vanessa atkinson to lift the malaysian open squash title.

i am very proud of her win – we have something in common – no, no, not that i play squash – we are both from penang and am a catholic. few years back, once in a while nicole and her family would come to our church for mass. now they are parishioners of cathedral of holy spirit. i know her mother just casually. oh, i heard her mother is coming to our office today for a meeting. very humble lady.

nicole is now ranked no. 3 in the world. i hope one day nicole would become the no. 1 champion!
