the contents of my bag

i had wanted to post this last weekend but suddenly last week ayah pin came in with his sky kingdom, and then london had to be bombed by some crazy (trying hard not to use cowards) suicide bombers, so i have to be serious and chit chat on those issues instead. well, now is another weekend, so i’m going to present with you one of my frivalous post.

everyone of us carry a handbag, purse, wallet, casual bag, when we are out of the house, right? just what do you have in your bag? especially for ladies’ handbags, it is said they carry a lot of ‘rubbish’. heh. i’m one of them lah. ok ok, so today, exclusive for you and you alone, i will let you in what i have in my handbag. you know, what they said, that the contents of your handbag will tell on you, so see if you can tell on me when i reveal what i have in my handbag.

first of all, i’ve got to talk about my handbag… er… since it is a casual knapsack bag, i wouldn’t call it handbag but just bag ok. i like using knapsack bag simply because of me being a bike rider, it’s easier for me to hang the bag behind my back when i’m riding my bike.

ok, so this is a picture of my bag.

looks like some kind of expensive bag eh? louis vuitton design? how i wish! nope, i’m not that loaded to get a branded bag. this bag is the cheapo ‘pasar malam’ bag which cost me only RM15.00. i bought it at betong, the border line town at thailand/malaysia. actually i have 3 knapsack bags to alternate use but i seems to get stuck to this present one that i continue using it. and strangely enough, although the other 2 are more expensive, when i use them, nobody commented on them but this present one, so many people commented “what a lovely bag!”. maybe because at a glance people thought it is an expensive branded bag!

i carry this bag with me daily to work, and also everywhere when i’m out of the house. why, i even carry it to the PPS bash in KL. i had wanted to take out some of the contents and use another bag instead but i just can’t part with any of the contents as i was like going ‘what if i need this…’, ‘what if need that…’. and do you know i have so many things in my bag that it is quite heavy… maybe near 2 kg! well, some of my friends who happen to lift up my bag always exclaimed “ayoh! why your bag so heavy one?”. so what in the world do i carry in it that made it so heavy? ok, behold… what lucia lai carry along with her everywhere she goes…

can you make out the items? i guess some looks plain enough to be able to tell, while others you may not be so sure. ok then, i’ll mention here the items (and you can tag which items to which pictures):
1. umbrella
2. sunglass case (it’s the black thing on the right)
3. wallet (it’s the black thing on the left)
4. fan
5. mini bible
6. mini rosary
7. bead purse (self made!) with 4 sets of keys (more than 10 keys!)
8. name cards (self made!)
9. pens (two of ’em – in case one pen runs out of ink!)
10. notebook (this – and also the pens – can disappear IF i have a PDA – but i can’t because i’m not loaded)
11. contact lens case
12. ‘cap singa’ medicatied oil (this one very important – don’t leave home without it!)
13. mini powder foundation
14. lipstick
15. eyebrow pencil
16. eye-shadow
17. mirror
18. roll-on perfume
19. tissue holder with tissue
20. needle and thread pack
21. swiss army knife (not the original of course – because i’m not loaded)
22. plastic bag (hidden in picture)
23. eye-drop
24. handphone (the handphone is not seen because i took this picture with the handphone camera.)

24 items! all these permenantly in my bag. of course now and then i will have extra items, like currently i have a packet of vicks cough drops and a walkathon card. actually many of the items in my bag, i hardly use. so why i have them in then? well, you know, for ‘one of these days when i do need it’. can you guess which is the most used (apart from wallet of course)? the mirror! haha. now you know that shows i’m very vain.

speaking of wallet, ahh… wanna know the contents of my wallet? nah, i might bored you but just one thing to tell i.e. i have 13 cards in my wallet! yep 13, but not one single credit card!! (because i’m not loaded). most of them are ‘kiasu’ cards i suppose. haha.
