what do you think of this idea from deputy defence minister datuk zainal abidin xin that the national service (NS) trainees should be taught to handle firearms one day? one of the reason, he said is to improve the youngsters’ self-discipline. huh? how on earth do learning to use firearms can improve self-discipline?

today’s star paper mentioned that the teens were thrilled while the parents were horrified. as expected.
