part-time job

i am very tired today, so there’ll be no post from me. tomorrow i might not have time to post too as i have to start on my new ‘work at home’ job.

you see, i have a friend who knows a friend, mr c, who starts a computer software company. (forest software solutions). he is chinese educated and not good in english, therefore he need someone to write an introductory page for his website, and my friend recommend him to me. all i need to do is the write up about the company, its products/services and so on. er… known as copywriting? they will do the designing. once the site is up, i’ll let you know the site and you can take a look at my amaterish work.

that’s right. i haven’t done this before and i’m a little worried if i can do it right or nicely. and when mr c asked me how do i charge, i don’t even know as i haven’t done this before and haven’t come across anyone who do. then last night, i suddenly remembers petertan, who did mentioned to me before that he does website designing, so i seek peter’s advise. peter doesn’t like it when i refer to him as profesionnal while i as amateur. he said he is also an amateur. actually what i meant was he had done it before and is very experienced so i kind of look to it as profesionnal, whereas i haven’t done it before. also i’m afraid of my writings, that i would not be good enough as i’m no journalist. i’m not exactly a good writer. well guess i should give it a try and see how it goes.

mr c also said that his company also does website designing for clients, and for the write-up on the sites, he need me to do. but first of all of course his own website must be up first. well if his company took off and there are a number of clients, i’ll be busy with the copywriting.

oh dear… what was it i said right in the beginning…. nothing to post? 🙂
