stupid ministers!

gosh! can you believe this? words that came right out of our ministers’ mouth!

“I will lash out at the media. I will also shout at the editors and raise this in Parliament. The identity of the housewife’s husband should also be made public for allowing the abuse. Any media organisation which blurs the culprit’s face is an accomplice,”
– Wanita Umno chief & Minister of Trade, Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz

“This is one case, I believe, where the adage of law ‘one is not guilty until found so by the court of law’ is not suitable for this category (of crime).”
– Culture, Arts and Heritage Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim

first of all, the fat lady. ahh… she is at it again… shouting like mad. remember her tantrum throwing re: dog being used on her at the australian airport? why insist on showing the identity of the husband? you mean she is the judge and already judged the hubby is guilty?
media organisation that blurs the face is an accomplice? hello ms minister, don’t you know ‘newspapers normally do not publish photographs of suspects unless they are charged in court. any photograph used before the case is taken to court would have the person’s eyes blurred.’ (quoted from NST via jeff ooi’s blog).

then the yatim minister. isn’t he a trained lawyer? how on earth can he utter such remark? guilty until proven? how ridiculous! then might as well don’t charged the women, might as well don’t brng them to court, might as well do away with the judiciary system. what rais uttered, if if comes from the public, i understand but from him???

granted it seems obvious that the housewife is guilty and her hubby abetting her, but they were not charged yet, and like it or not, they have a right to a fair trial. they have a right to speak up and be heard in court and let the court sentence them before we pass silly judgement like these two ministers did.

btw, mgg pillai had a good write-up refering to this matter as trial by hysteria.

first i was disgusted at the abuse done at the maid, nirmala and now i feel disgusted at what our two ministers said here.

malaysia boleh!
