the ‘expired medicine’ elected as the opposition leader

remember what the PAS president said of LKS before the election? something like expired medicine that should be left on the shelf. well LKS had the last laugh when he won in the election, while PAS lost big. now instead of being left on the shelf, LKS is made prominent in the dewan rakyat when he was appointed opposition leader.

this will be LKS second tenure as opposition leader. he held this position in 1979 to 1999, the longest in the nation’s history. in 1999, DAP suffered a massive defeat and the opposition leader post went to PAS president.

out of the 219 MPs, only 21 are from the opposition. despite this, the opposition promise that its voice will not be drowned out.

well i hope with LKS and not forgetting ‘the jelutong tiger’, karpal singh, the opposition voices will certainly be heard… esp. speaking on behalf of the rakyat. ok ok i know there are many skeptical people out there who do not thik the presence of the two KS (kit siang and karpal singh) will make any difference. some even said they are like er… what you call tin kosong making noises? i have blog on these 2 winning the election here and hereand from the comments, you can see some people don’t believe the two KS will and can speak up for the rakyat. well, whatever… let’s wait and see.
