off to hatyai

today, at 8.30am, i’m leaving for hatyai! hurray! wanna do lots of shopping there, especially cashew nuts. i love cashew nuts!

i am going with a canadian friend, lorraine, who is here in penang for 3 months. we will be taking the plusliner bus to and fro which cost RM25 one way. actually i don’t mind going on a van, with a package thrown in including hotel stay but lorranie gets car-sick in a van so we opted for a bus instead. and plusliner seems to be the only company that provide bus service to hatyai.

some people were shocked that i’m going to hatyai as this time of the year… what with the avian flu around and news of southern thailand being attacked by terrorists. one friend said “you’d better don’t eat the chicken there”, another said “don’t eat the eggs”, yet another said “trouble brewing there, why go”. ayoh….. but what the heck, live one day at a time! why worry so much this and that. whatever is going to happen, will happen. whatever is not going to happen, will not happen. who cares… i’m going!

no posts from me for next 2 days then. oh i’m leaving on saturday morning and be back on sunday evening. by that time will be too tired to blog. perhaps i should take lots of pics of hatyai and post them here. but sorry no pics of the tiger show. ;p
