good news. guess what. re: comments (jogging of minds). yesterday i suddenly made up my mind to sign up as a premium member of haloscan (which provide the comments). the payment? it’s more of a donation and the minimum is US$10.00. i figure if it is US$10 forever (and not per month, per year), why not i signed up. and after all in a way in the christmas/new year spirit, i’m helping haloscan out to maintain their commenting site. they are doing a good job, so they deserve some donations. so you see, in helping them, i’m helping myself because being a premium member, i will have extra features.

and the good news to you all is that, one of the extra feature is that the no. of characters permitted for commenting is 3000 characters! 3000 now! it used to be 1000, and most of you find your comments truncated. well now with 3000 characters, you can yak and yak more.

another good feature is i can edit the comments template though this is not of any good for me since i don’t know much about html, but i can try out here and there, like i had tweak the comments to set the greeting message (just ‘welcome’).

there are lots more features which i can use for being a premium members… too many to mention here, which er… you might not be interested anyway.

anyway the one feature i like to have, which i think not even available for premium members, but any members can have it, if they are good at html and javascript, is to know when there are new comments up. i saw the code to use for this feature but the code are greek to me. 🙁 but never mind, this is not so important and who knows one day i might know how to put it up.

btw, didn’t anybody (the regulars at least) notice the change in my blog? i had change the colours for the whole layout. for the heading and sub-heading change of colours, it was thanks to wits0. do you like the new change or the old one? actually there are so much improvement i need to do to my blog but because of my non techie knowledge i can’t. i hope bit by bit, slowly i’ll manage.
