problem editing posts (with WYSIWYG)

it had been almost 10 days now that i had this problem of editing my posts. all the icons functions (of WYSIWYG) disappeared! finally on tuesday i decided to post my problem to wordpress support and see if there’s a solution. unfortunately until now, there is no response.
ok i am going to re-produce here what (my problem) i had posted in wordpress support… in the hope that someone would be able to help me.
i have been having this problem for days now. when i want to edit a post (clicking under ‘manage’ from dashboard then ‘edit’ at a particular post) OR clicking at a particular post when i’m at dashboard, what i get is this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v32/sweetyLL/wp_post.jpgno icons appear at all! how on earth then do i edit when i can’t use any features/functions tools? another thing is that i notice while the status bar (bottom of browser) after loading and loading, will say ‘done’ and the page was done(because i can use it)… but the tab (where the name of page appears) shows it is still loading.
when i click on ‘write’ from dashboard, i get everything right (the way it should be), like this:

any wordpress expert out there can help me out? it is really frustrating with this problem as i mentioned, i like to write something short… or even just copy some links or short text only to the write area, then save it (not publish) and go back some other days to edit it. or when i want to have a post the same time i write it, it it is a long post, i will have to stop a while to click ‘save and continue editing’ (so as to save so far what i had written) but now the problem is after i save and want to edit, i can’t see the WYSISYG editor. well of course i can use html… but that takes a lot of time and i don’t know html very well.
i really hope someone would help me out. with this editing problem, it kind of put me off blogging!

After awhile, I stop using any WYSIWYG editor, I turn it off and just using the html editor, which is the basic one and the reliable one. To know how it looks like, I usually click the save and continue button and click preview check it.
Seriously, they have got the name wrong, it should be WYSIMWYG ( what you see is maybe what you get ) or WYSISWYG ( what you see is sometimes what you get)
lucia:Â actually i had been using the WYSIWYG editor for a long time without problem at all. well ever since i started blogging here (in wordpress) i already use it (that will be 9 months). it was only about 14 days ago suddenly this problem cropped up.Â
now the thing is even when i deactivate WYSIWYG editor, i could not get the basic (original) html editor – there’s nothing at all. (like the picture i show). i don’t understand why firefox shows nothing.

whereas in IE:
with WYSIWYG editor – html editor (when it should be WYIWYG editor)

I emptied my browser’s cache the last time I had this problem. Hope this will work for you too.
lucia: i try doing that after reading this from you but the problem remained.
