we are all thinkers (award!)

i had notice the thinking blogger award going the rounds for the past weeks. first time i came across it was at pok ku’s blog. bever would i have thought  someone would bestow this award on me but then as wonders never cease, lo and behold, after 2 days without internet as i was away at a sea side resort, when i came back and checked my mail, i saw an email from ktemoc informing me he had tagged me with the thinking bloggers award.

oh gee i am so honored to be nominated as a thinking blogger. apparently it seemed that ktemoc was impressed with my relief work during the great aceh tsunami, that’s why he bestowed upon me such honor. well hop over to his blog and read further what he had to say of me, the penang nona (as he refer to me sometimes – which btw, i don’t quite like it as some blogger i don’t like – that very islamic person, you now who – also uses this tag).

ok so i gracefully and humbly accepted the award with much gratitude to ktemoc. well now that i am a thinking blogger, i have to look around for 5 thinking bloggers to tag. as with most of the bloggers who had been tagged, i sure have more than 5 thinking bloggers in mind. also it seems that many of my choice of bloggers had already been tagged. though the rule never say i can’t tag the same bloggers, i’d rather not so as to give chance to others. however i would like to mention the names of the bloggers whom i would have nominated them if they haven’t been nominated before. they are, of course, firstly, none other than ktemoc. others are maverick (cakap tak serupa bikin), howsy (the sensintrovert), walski (my asylum_, susan loone, what a lulu. no links as they are not the ones i tagged.

ok here are my choice of thinking bloggers.

1. politics101
a guy who goes with the colourful nick of ‘alphabet soup’. this guy put in his thoughts only occasionally.  instead he supplies us with lots of interesting news/articles from elsewhere, some of which i wouldn’t have came across by myself. when he did put in his thoughts though, it was filled with humor – a trait i like most in a person.

2. bobjots
ah bob. faithful christian and PKR member (in that order).  he is the first blogger i met. er… actually i met him before both of us became bloggers (when blogging was virtually unknown at that time!). i admire his devotion to his church. as you can see, most of his posts touch on the church or christianity… but of course on PKR too. many of his posts were quite touching and thought provoking.

3. fishtail
a lecturer who is also a writer of 3 books. has a great sense of humor, as so evident in the satires he came up with. his posts were all very down-to-earth and very personal that touches the heart but best of all i love his satires. most of his satires touch on current issues, like the one about disneyland in johor, mat rempit and illegal VCD sellers.
(note: fishtail had sounded to me he is not into meme so i guess he won’t pick this meme up. never mind. all the same i wish to bestow on him the thinking blogger award).

4.  aisehman
an anonymous blogger who writes pretty will, never mincing his words. he’ll spew out four letter words when he gets angry but it was all done in good faith. i mean it doen’t make the reader think he is getting vulgar. i admire how he analyse carefully points in certain issues, taking care to look into both sides.
(note: like fishtail, i have a feeling, aisehman won’t be bother with this meme too).

5. liewcf
ah. malaysian’s first full time blogger (right?) and one who earns thousands (right? right!) a month via blogging through all the ads he has on his blog. gee, if only i can earn a teeny weeny fraction of what he earns, i’ll be juming with joy non-stop. 🙂
liewcf is also one of the most popular tech blogger in malaysia. i enjoy reading his blog as it is so informative. he will introduce new interesting sites/services/products, and most of all i like the tips he has for us like how to optimise our blogs. many a time i try to learn from his post how to do this and that but most of the time, despite me thinking and thinking my brain out, i don’t know how to do it! haha! guess i just don’t have a techie brain. (got such thing meh?).

ok so these are the 5 bloggers that receive the thinking bloggers award from me. now, it’s over for you, guys, to nominate 5 other people each, all of whom must merit being considered thinking bloggers.

ok, the rules. i just CnP from ktemoc.

There are rules attached to this, should you get tagged. Just to reiterate:
Should you choose to participate, please make sure you pass this list of rules to the blogs you are tagging. The participation rules are simple:

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think

2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme. This award was started here by someone called Ilker Yoldas.

3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote.

Please, remember to tag blogs with real merits, i.e. relative content, and above all – blogs that really get you thinking!
