bloggers are liars….. not!!
Post on Feb.01, 2007
continuation from my previous post.
bloggers don’t lie, mr PM, you did bought the RM175 million jet, see (which you went on to say it was leased, not bought). and what about the RM30m ‘cobra sultan’ yacht? they were partly right, it was for you, though not bought by you.
so it is true that you pounced on bloggers with the “don’t spread lies’ admonition when your ’secret’ (because it was not reported in the mainstream media) was revealed by bloggers?
well, i would say thank god for blogs then! what the gomen didn’t want the public to know exposed!
bloggers are not liars, mind you, PM and yes we are responsible bloggers. we care for our country, thus we feel it necessary to highlight whatever we felt was wrong like the lack of transparency or when we felt that our money were extravagantly spent for certain individual/group (and not majority). this is our responsibility as malaysians!
btw, susan loone had complied a list where the PM might have lied to us instead! then there is a good article written by malaysiakini CEO and co-founder, premesh chandran entitled
blogs and boundaries of responsibilities

PM don’t lie…he just don’t know how to deal with truth
lucia:Â oic. ah.. this post of mine, plus the other one, seems to get us to define what is a lie. interesting… and funny too.

[...] Everybody lies. Bloggers are liars (though Lucia disagrees), but not all bloggers post lies on their blogs. Take a count, and find the percentage of people lying on one single issue. Blogs are mostly comprised of personal opinions. Does that mean that whatsoever personal opinions that do not conform to the government’s views are lies. That would mean that one more of our fundamental liberties is being taken away – our freedom of speech. [...]

I don’t think anyone lies as much as a politician.
lucia: yep and they said it is natural for a politician to lie.

Days before i lied to my grandchild “the roti has perished and is not suitable for eating anymore” (when she quested for more bread). Later on my wife lied to her on the same issue again “your dad said cannot eat anymore”.
Therefore my grandchild believed in both of what we had said.
U see! i am like a governor; my wife is like a minister; and my grandchild is like a citizen.
lucia: haha. a gomen system in your house.Â
