bloggers are liars
“Lies after lies are being told,” Abdullah was quoted as saying. “They feel they are free, they cannot be disturbed and they can say whatever they wish to say.”
‘they’ here refer to… who do you think… none other than people like me… bloggers who writes on socio-political matters. of course he also meant other internet users e.g. website owners, those in forums and so on.
yes, he mentioned those who are on the web but he specifically mentioned the name ‘bloggers’.
Abdullah did not specifically identify his critics, but said bloggers and other people were using Web sites “to create stories” that underscore how online freedom has been manipulated.
see?

mr prime minister, i am not a liar. i am a blogger with a face and a name. i write mostly based on what the media reported, what i had seen and heard. so if you think what i wrote were lies, then it was them who lied too!
anyway, what is a lie? how do you define a lie? how can you tell that we lied? what made you think we lied? when we write something not to your liking? when we unearth some ’secrets’ you are hiding?

phew! can get connected finally
at last… now i can get connected at home… after 8 days without internet at home.
my brother finally came to check my modem/pc for me last night… and do you know what? ashamed to say this… my brother said it was all my fault. first of all i did not use the power adpater from the new modem (but used the adapter from my old modem) and secondly i did not install the driver’s modem - that’s why cannot get connected and there i was blaming streamyx. (sorry ah streamyx).

silly season of 2006
after giving you an article by my friend, martin jalleh, here is one by dr francis loh, who is, also, like martin, a penangite catholic (like me). i had met dr francis loh a few times but only know him casually on a ‘recognise face so smile at each other’ basis only. another penangite catholic, who is very prolific at writing like martin and dr francis loh, is anil netto who is in aliran and he also writes for asia times. i know anil well too but not as well as martin. see, we have 3 good writers here who are catholics and from penang (btw, susan loone is one of us too!). whoever said the church is silent (or passive) on political matters eh.

new modem but still can’t get connected
Damn! I still can’t get online at home. yesterday bought my modem to the computer shop to let them test and they found out my modem faulty. This computer shop I know the boss for years and alsoknow the lady clerk so I know they won’t cheat me.
Anyway the clerk said that when she switch on my modem, all 3 lighs lighted up and remain lighted - this showed that it was faulty. Yes true ever since 4 days ago when I can’t get connected I did notice the 3 lights light up at once when I switched on the modem and stayed lighted.

no blogging
argh! still can’t get online. thus no blogging again.so frus!!
I managed to get streamyx support via phone after numerous attempts but they were of no help at all. they asked me to checked my phone line… I did… checked all the connections but still modem refuse to work. in fact look like it became worst. yesterday the dsl line was still blinking once in a long while but today after I fiddle with the cables here and there the light stop blinking all together.
I guess I have no choice but to folow wits0 advise to send the modem for repair or borrow a modem to install and see if it works. gonna take a few days though. aarghhh!! this means no blogging for a few days! really fed up!
no time to stay back after office to blog. maybe i’ll forego my office lunch hour to blog?
you guess it. now i’m blogging this via my pda again. you know lah with pda very difficult to blog… take time to look for and upload photos, take time to look for articles and link them so that’s why I say I can’t blog. I can only grumble like this. haha.
you’ll notice the post below - an article by martin jalleh. well that was saved yesterday afternoon during my lunch hour and I only published it haly an hour ago.
ok i’m going to surf just a little while then get ofline. wonder how much it will cost me surfing on my pda like this - with maxis 3G by using my phone as modem connected via bluetooth. what to do… even if expensive, i’m addicted to blogging/surfing at this hours (after midnight).

The citizens of Bolehland ended the year 2006 in high spirits. Even though things did not quite work out for the work-with-me Prime Minister (PM), the government of the day took us to great heights in various ways.

cannot online at home
Oh dear me! Something’s wrong with my modem… or is it streamyx? I cannot blog because I cannot get online… from Saturday until now. Er… but am I not blogging now? Well I am using my PDA to blog, and since it is using maxis connection via my phone as modem, it will cost me a bomb so I’m not going to write something long.
I really wonder what’s wrong – the modem or the line. I did try to contact streamyx support but there was no answer! Huh? I thought they are 24 hours. I will contact them this afternoon. I hope it is the line and not that my modem went kaput. All the lights on the modem were working. The dsl light did flicker but sometimes it flicker then stop for quite a while. The other 2 lights remain solid all the time.
Ok I had better log off now. I hope by tonight I can get online.
