fat malaysians
ok ok, me included. yes i am fat. i feel i am fat though my BMI (body mass index) says i am not overweight. well i suppose ‘fat’ and ‘overweight’ is different. i can be fat but not overweight but i cannot be overweight and thin - so it is correct to say i am fat though i am not overweight.
have you heard that malaysia has the most number of fat people in the asean region? a survey by malaysian shape of the nation found that out.

emit asia in m’sia sucks!!
update to my earlier post about emit asia, i had contacted the consumers association of penang (CAP) and what the lady staff advised me is to write directly to readers’ digest (RD) main office. she said write a letter of complain to the main office then cc to emit asia in malaysia. one big problem is that i had thrown away the wrapper that came together with the august issue of RD - because she said i need the wrapper for my subscription reference number. anyway i was thinking since emit asia said that august copy was suppose to be a complimentary copy and they will start the subscription only in september, there might not be any subscription reference number on the wrapper!

here we go again…
… the foreign minister, syed hamid said that singapore should apologise for lee kuan yew’s ‘racist’ remarks. earlier, if you remember, he also opened his big mouth to say the pope should made a full apology.
“They should (apologise) for the sake of the two supposedly good neighbouring countries, they should do that.
“That statement went beyond fair comment, describing something that is not true in our country, an instigation. So I think with all honesty, it should be polite for them to say they were sorry,” he told reporters after a meeting of the Umno Supreme Council, here.

the consequence of blogging
careful how you blog. if you belongs to a company or an association or a party, you might just be sacked/expelled from your company/party. well UMNO member, zaharin yassin (picture left - taken from his blog) found that out yesterday when he was expelled from UMNO “for criticising the party leadership”.
zaharin is an UMNO member for bandar tun razak and his blog is at sang kelembai, which is also his pen name.
excerpt from the bernama report:
Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad told reporters later that the MT viewed Zaharin’s offence seriously and decided to impose a heavier penalty than recommended by the Disciplinary Board and Management Committee.

the policy that never ends
ta… daaamm….!!…. introducing the never ending policy! guess what it is? why, NEP of course. silly girl, you whispered to me. NEP is the new economic policy lah… the policy for bumiputera. huh? yes yes i know but since the NEP never seems to end, it is right to label it as never ending policy too - courtesy of former UKM political science professor dr p. ramasamy. that’s right. it was he who coined that phrase, not me… but of course i agree with him.
