what? do away with the ferry?
shocked to read that penang plans to scrap vehicular ferry service once the second bridge is ready. the reasons being that the second bridge might be able to handle the traffic volume and also that the ferry service had been running at a loss.
penang port chief said they, however will still retain 4 vehicular cum passengers ferries. i suppose this is more for passengers convenience since passengers don’t drive and can’t use the bridge… but then they are vehicular -cum-passenger ferries, which means vehicles still can use it.

blog down for 3 days!
arghh!! my blog had been not working for the past few days. for regular visitors, if you had try logging in to my blog, you would have notice first some error message about ‘500 internal server’. then on saturday it was some error message to do with the ultimate warrior tag.
my blog was down from 27 march evening until… 30 march early morn, only the problem was solved.
the first person i ran to when i notice something’s wrong with my blog was my host (webmaster) of course but he was busy traveling oversea on work. then i turned to bob, who had been very helpful. he checked and try his best to help me. he informed that it looks like my site had been hacked but not being the webmaster, he can’ do much. ayoh! what? i have to wait for my webmaster? oh no!! 3 days already and no blogging?? going to die soon lah…. LOL.
so i turned to another friend, a very young and very techie smarty chap who is my fellow penangite - warren, and he managed to solve the problem for me! hurray! my blog is up and running now as in early morn of 30 march, sunday.
oh boy! i missed blogging! so much i had wanted to blog on for the past days but because my blog was down, i can’t!! i hope my blog will not run into problems again so that i can get back to normal life - blogging!! hehe. sound like a geek, eh, whose normal life is sitting in front of the computer blogging. yalah i was exaggerating… but also true in a way.
thanks to bob and warren for their help and also to wei (host) for trying to look at my problem despite his busy schedule.

cases of UMNO the sore losers
in no particular order. just wrote them out as i remember.
some of these actions of the sore losers are of course how they react to punish the people for not electing them!
1) first of all, of course, from the protest held in penang and several other protests held about the same time at the other 2 states where the lost - perak and selangor.
2) something to do with the protests too. the cry baby umno talk about not enough malay representation in the states exco line-up, and why the need to appoint non malays deputy MB. i mentioned about these a lot in this post of mine labeling umno as downright racist.
3) education ministry directed all schools heads in penang not to invite state government leaders as VIP. anil netto’s post refers.
4) blacklisting contractors who support the opposition. susan loone’s post refers.
5) KL’s DBKL suddenly got so hard-working, issuing summons against hawkers and petty traders. malaysiakini report which can be read at my mentaljog extra (if you no sub to m’kini).
6) in sibu, they threaten to deny the rakyat of the proposed RM400m flood mitigation plan.
there are a few other case i’m sure, of which i have no time to look for but i will update the list as time goes by.

bumped out!
i visited zorro’s blog everyday. yesterday when i want there, i was surprised to read about this.
so they are organising bum2008.
if any of you remember, i was one of the committee members in bum2007 (bloggers united malaysia). at the end of our gathering we did mentioned something about having this as yearly affair, which means there might be bum2008. i remember in one of my email to the committee members (just after the gathering ended) i had mentioned something like this "someone in the bum2007 blog mentioned about organising it again next year. any takers?" but there was no response at all. so i leave it as it was. nothing. no news. fine.

UMNO is very racist!
and that is because they still hold on to KETUANAN MELAYU (malay supremacy/dominance/hegemony).
proof of them being racist, first of all lots of proof alone from report of the recent protest they organised in penang.
But when Azam allowed a delegation from the group to do so, the leaders declined claiming that it was pointless to meet a chief minister who had made up his mind “to destroy the Malays”.

a truly defining and defying moment
A Truly Defining & Defying Moment!
by Martin Jalleh
The Umno-BN hegemony has come to a sudden halt. The 50-year old political juggernaut has been severely jolted. Its formidable force fragmented.
The coalition that had used its brute majority to bully and bulldoze its way and will in Parliament, blinked when the Opposition breached its two-thirds majority.
The regime of hype, hypocrisy, hysterics and histrionics, displayed especially in Parliament, has been humbled, even humiliated.
The government of unbridled arrogance of power and brazen high-handedness has been brought low. A silence hovers over the once haughty and the high and mighty.

hishamuddin’s doublespeak
on 20 march, the star reported:
The crowd, led by Selangor Umno Youth chief Abdul ShukurIdrus, also hit out at DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang for calling for a boycott of the swearing-in of the executive council in Perak because the act was disrespectful towards the Sultans who were highly respected by the Malays.
Abdul Shukur also said that PKR and DAP had been disrespectful and insensitive towards the Malays when they supported the move to abolish the New Economic Policy which had benefited both the Malays and other races.

alleluia! the lord has risen!
caution! the following images, and the text might offend some super highly sensitive people or some very self righteous people, like how they were offended at teresa kok’s posting of pigs image.

yeah, a very happy, joyful, glorious and blessed easter to all those who celebrate it.
easter = the resurrection of the lord.
the following picture shows jesus appearing to his disciples after his resurrection.

EASTER JOY
Jesus came to earth,
To show us how to live,
How to put others first,
How to love and how to give.
