POSTED: Friday, 29/02/08, 1:50 AM   FILED: election |

a bit of sms lingo there. hey, save 10 letters, you know, and we all know heading should not be too long. well, in pure england, the heading is…..
‘why you should not put an X to the dacing when votingduring the election.

oops. dacing is not in england. well, dacing means ‘the scale’, i.e. the symbol of barisan nasional (BN), the caretaker ruling coalition.

ok, so why? well here are the reasons:

get najib, mongol missing
get judges, truth missing
get khir toyo, temples missing
get lingam tape, memory missing
get samy, shares missing
get zianuddin, info missing
get nazri, truth missing
get khairy, samseng missing
get hishamuddin, hang tuah keris missing
get soi lek, viagra missing
get ka ting - do nothing
get badawi, he’s sleeping!
undi dacing, dapat cacing!!

so what? so……

(note: the poem above was forwarded to me via sms)

    dirty tricks in sg siput

POSTED: Tuesday, 26/02/08, 1:04 AM   FILED: election, government, politics |

yeah. sg. siput. where samy velu is contesting. ain’t no surprise eh?

    we get to see:
    1.  the police disturbing the opposition (PSM)
    2.  the majlis perbandaran kuala kangasar(city council) favouring MIC

dr jeyakumar, the candidate from parti sosialis malaysia (PSM), who is contesting against samy velu, was giving his frist ceramah where over 1000 people were present.

according to PSM’s website, the police AND the light force team barged into the ceramah while it was halfway on and force them to stop.

why? what was wrong with holding a ceramah at their own place? it it illegal? why did the police had to intrude? order from someone? hmm….

POSTED: Tuesday, 26/02/08, 12:52 AM   FILED: CnP, election, malaysia |

yeah, though i always cried ’say no to BN’, i’m being fair here not to display only the manifesto of the opposition but of BN too. read and see for yourself.

    ————————————

    Barisan Nasional (BN)

    Security, peace, prosperity

The ruling Barisan Nasional is going all out to woo voters this time round, complete with a spanking new election website and an unconventional manifesto.

Drums were beating when top BN leaders entered the hall to a rousing applause from 500 party supporters who packed the Putra World Trade Centre auditorium in Kuala Lumpur.

    MAFREL training session a success

POSTED: Monday, 25/02/08, 1:33 AM   FILED: issues, malaysia, politics |

… yes, the training session  was a success, despite starting late and behind time, and being a bit disorganised (apology to the attendees!).

the turnout was tremendous. about 100 80 persons turned up! and i think about 50 committed to be observers on polling day. hurray! watch out jelutong, tanjung, bukit gelugor - you’ll be seeing MAFREL observers around.

tuan syed ibrahim, MAFREL’s vice chairman (picture) started off with topics on ‘observation framework onf 12th malaysia general election (MGE 12)’ which covers:
    - MAFREL: introduction, objectives and activities
    - election in malaysia: problems and challenges
    - election observation mission and assignment of MGE 12
    - target constituencies, criteria and observation methodology

then he also covered the election dynamics and observation issues.
