mobile blogging
it’s now close to midnight and here i am sitting in front of the computer blogging! like i have no life eh? oh, but blogging is life to me. in that case, like i’m a blogging nerd eh? haha. whatever. when one choose not to go out partying or get-together with friends on the last day of the year, doesn’t mean one has no life lah. life is not all party or friends! ‘friend’ like a computer is always much better than real friends. haha. i’m back to my nerdy talk.

mat damn illegal racers
yeah right!… or should it be “get the f**k off the roads, you damn illegal racers!”
well, according to the north seberang prai district OCPD asst comm wan abdullah tuanku, branding illegal racers as mat rempit has emboldened them to carry out their activities. he said that the mat rempits… er… the damn illegal racers are happy with this name ‘rempit’ and take pride in such attention. i suppose this give them the license to break the law more!

this is already old news by today as many bloggers had already blog on it, including our taikor blogger, jeff ooi. if you go to malaysia’s popular blog portal, project petaling street (PPS), you’ll see for yourselves many bloggers talking about it. (latest post here).
you can also read the announcement from tm.net and jaring regarding this matter.
well, for sure i am not the only one frustrated. thousands of net addicts around the world are!! especially bloggers! today’s star paper describe bloggers as being ‘feeling deprived‘. apparently others are more frustrated and deprived than me. haha.

wither non muslim’s freedom of choice
usually during christmas, it had been the tradition of some christian homes to have the turkey as christmas thanksgiving dinner. of course those who can’t cook the turkey at home, will go to restaurants or hotels to get to eat the turkey…. but alas, now, if you drop in a restaurant in some hotels, you won’t be able to get a chance to eat the turkey. why? well, the ever religious and oh-so-good-to-take-care-of-the-well being-of-ALL-muslim, JAKIM (malaysian islamic development department) had decided to ban imported turkeys because they are not halal.

this christmas, let us….
Mend a quarrel.
Build peace. Seek out a forgotten friend.
Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust.
Write a love letter. Share some treasure. Give a soft answer.
Encourage youth. Manifest our loyalty in word and deed. Keep a promise.
Find the time. Forego a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Listen. Apologise if we were wrong.
Try to understand. Deny envy. Examine our demands on others.
Think first of someone else. Appreciate. Be kind, be gentle.
Laugh a little. Laugh a lot more. Deserve confidence.
Take up arms against malice. Decry complacency.
Express our gratitude. Welcome a stranger.
Gladden the heart of a child.

where to search for the lord
By James F. Colaianni
The Christmas story reminds us once again it was not man’s idea that the Son of God should be born in a stable. And so the first thing we learn from Jesus’ birth is that the Lord will not always be found where we expect to find him.
We tend to look for him in the nice, the clean, the warm. We expect him to be in churches and in the Bible and in hymns of praise and in Christmas cards which have scriptures verses on them… and if these are only places we search for the Lord, then we’re not looking in the stable.
This reality is expressed with dramatic force in these lines from Michael Quoist’s book called ‘Prayer’ :
I am not made of plaster, not of stone, nor of bronze. I am living flesh throbbing, suffering. I am among men (and women) and they have not recognized me. I am poorly paid. I am unemployed. I live in a slu. I am sick. I live in the streets of Georgetown. I am in prison. I am oppressed. I am patronized. I sweat men’s blood on all battlefields. I cry out in the night and die in the solitude of battle. And yet, I said to them, â€Whatever you do to my brothers, however humble, you do to me.†That’s clear. The terrible thing is that they know it but don’t take it seriously.
