dr koh unhappy with presentation of ‘mansions’ of MPs

hey, so did you see the power-point presentation of the ‘mansions’ of penang that i blog about here? this was made into a CD and distributed to the public, according to ong. well, it seems that penang’s CM, dr koh was not too happy with the CD.
“not fair” said he “i bought my house when i was a USM lecturer, not when i became a politician”
he also said that the valuation of the properties were doubtful but ong said that they had acquired the help of professional property valuers to value the properties.
what does it matter when dr koh bought the house? the thing is he had the money to buy the house!

Unless my memory is faulthy, Dr Koh was robbed at home not very long after he won Penang from the DAP when he was bounded by robbers then. And according to the newspaper’s report then, he was cited as staying in Midland Park, the premium residential area of his parents’ home, perhaps even at the same premises.
Another thing is being a lecturer for just around/over a decade really must be very paying.
Of course he’s the scion of a very rich family too. To defeat the doubts wrt the timeline thingy, he should’ve just said that family inheritance enabled it. Cleaner getaway.

ya that was what i felt too… he himself informed that he could buy such an expensive house on his lecturer’s pay.

Nope. I remember he robbed many generational inner city folks of their home ! By tens of thousands ! Then the houses are left empty till today-wonder if he had any realistic plan from the beginning !
