ok going to post this just past midnight at 06.06.06 – triple 6 – the number of the beast (devil)… or is it a lucky number to you? to me, it is neither one. i don’t believe in such nonsense. yeah i don’t believe in numerology.

666 being the number of the beast was mentioned in the bible though, particularly at the book of revealation (chapter 13, verse 17). does that means i don’t believe what the bible said if i say i don’t believe 666 is the number of the beast? well… no comments.

today, 06.06.06 will see the opening premiere of the movie ‘the omen’ in the US. the original ‘the omen’ was shown during the 70s… the one starring gregory peck as damien’s (the devil child) father and lee remick as the mother. i had seen it and i love it very much. the 2 sequels, omen 2 and omen 3 were not as nice though (always don’t like sequels anyway!).

since we are on the subject of the devil, have any of you play the ‘spirit of the coin’ game before? i used to play it during my school day! for those who don’t know what this game was about – actually it was where we call on the spirit to answer questions that we posed. we had to make a board with all the 26 letters placed at random, a ‘home’ in the centre and a ‘yes’ on the right and a ‘no’ on the left of the ‘home’. then when we asked questions, we wait for the spirit of the coin to move to the letters to answer our questions.

in my innocence (ahem) i never thought for a moment i was calling on the spirit – a dangerous game the adults would said to ‘play’ with the spirit… what if the spirit refused to go home. then the spirit would haunt one of us!

well, sometimes i wonder was it really the spirit of the coin that moved or was it someone who pushed the coin making it moved. we would accuse each other of moving the coin! haha! sometimes instead of a coin, we will used an upturned small tea cup (or tiny bowl).

of course now i wouldn’t dare to play this game. yeah, now i know how to fear! haha. anyway, it is always wise not to dabble with the unknown, right?
