engei dei? samy is thar-thelai too?
yesterday when samy velu was addressing a gathering of 10,000 members at the malaysian indian congress MIC convention, he use the word ‘rascal’ (thar thelai in tamil) on his opponents.
“i am not referring to any person or party except those who do not co-operate with us” said the MIC president, who is also malaysian public works minister.
i find this quite puzzling. how can he not refer to any person or party when he admit he was referring to ‘those who do not co-operate with us’? aren’t ‘those who do not co-operate with us’ must surely be a person or a party?
well i’m sure our ayo-yo samy was referring to people like datuk m.g. pandithan, party presidnet of indian progressive front and datuk m. kayveas, party president of people’s progressive party
the former, he said was trying to create a rift between him and his deputy datuk s. subramaniam by bringing up the issue of party succession, and the latter criticised the MIC for having no succession plans.
well well well, just because people criticised him, they are thar thelai? i suppose he would like to refer to all those opposition as thar thelai too? at any rate, isn’t what pandithan and kayveas said was true? there should be a succession plan, isn’t it. don’t tell me samy velu is going to be the party president for over 20 years…. as long as tun dr mahathir! btw, how long was he as MIC president?
i nearly throw up at this part of the news article:
samy vellu also assured the indians that the MIC would care for their needs, saying he had done his best to serve the community throughout his tenure as party president.
yucks! he had care for the needs of the indians? he had done his best? ha! many would have disagree. he had done nothing for the indian community at all. he had lined his own pockets rich but he had neglect the many indians community who are poor. it is a sad fact that most poor people in our country are from the indian community. i should know. the church-based society i’m inst vincent de paul (SSVP), which helps poor people in our area, 90% of the poor we helped are indians. what had samy velu done to alleviate this problem? nothing.
coming back to samy’s outburst of abuse, don’t you think it is rather unbecoming of a minister to publicly use such a word on his opponents? oh i forgot. he learned well from his master who had recently resigned.
maybe samy himself is a thar thelai ? as they said it takes one to know one. and it is very well known fact by everyone that he has ‘hooligans’ bodyguards. doesn’t that made him a hooligan too? a samseng? say, any indians out there, how do you say samseng in tamil?
vanakkam.
