let’s get toilet-trained!

hey, take note of the date 24 and 25 august 2006. an important conference will be held in KL. come one, come all. you’ve got to come as this concern you very much. what conference? the national toilet summit. yep, you heard me right – the national toilet summit!! see, didn’t i say it concern you? you uses the toilet daily, don’t you?

see!! even a cat knows how to sit properly on the toilet bowl to do its business, why can’t you? you can’t, that’s why our housing and local ministry so kindly offer to hold this conference to educate you about the importance of clean commodes. don’t olay play ah… they are going to bring in the founder of the world toilet organisation ya’ know.

“The vision … is to establish a clean toilet culture,” he said. “The mission is to raise users’ etiquette and to motivate the change in the psychological ethics and attitudes of users and owners.” says Robert Lau, the housing and local ministry deputy.

hmm… will such a conference change people’s attitude towards public toilet? certainly not! is the idea of having a national toilet summit silly? yes!

i have missed this news when it was reported in the local media but when it was posted to the beritamalaysia newsgroup, i took notice of it, as it was under the washington post. wow! this conference news so important that it made to the US? heh. but uncle yap of beritamalaysia think otherwise… that the news came out in washington post was to make fun of bolehland.

well, what do you expect when a country has to organise a national toilet conference to thrash out the toilet problems that had been plaguing the country. *sigh* what else is new.
