60th anniversary of hiroshima horror
today marks the 60th anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb at hiroshima, japan. many survivors said they’ll never forget that day and some of them related their experiences.
60th anniversary. that means 60 years ago. many of us were not around that time, i’m sure. well i do know pok ku was around.
i’m not into history and i don’t know what happened that day and why it happened. i heard a lot of this though – “if hiroshima haven’t been bombed……”.
reading the stories of the survivors, makes me cringe, revealing to me how terrible atomic bombs are. what about nuclear bombs? they are worst than atomic bombs right? what about that bomb… er… what was it call… naplam right or something sound like it, that was dropped in vietnam? that was the time when a photograph of a little girl running away naked became internationally famous.
gee, now as i typed the above, i suddenly realise there are many different kind of bombs. what are those common bombs known as eh? what about those bombs the suicide attackers like to use? sometimese it is interesting to get technical!
i remember few years back i was at an exhibition where weapons of destruction were shown. it was interesting and eye opening to see real grenades, missiles, torpedoes, tomahawks (?) and so on on display… but i don’t remember seeing bombs on display. er… can bombs be on display??
